ESPN RADIO’S RICKARD RECEIVES SI.COM HONORS

ESPN Radio’s GameNight host Jeff Rickard was recognized when “SI.com’s 2006 Media Awards” were announced on December 27.

Writer Richard Deitsch penned the annual column “honoring best, worst from TV, radio, print and more” for the Sports Illustrated web site.

SI.com wrote:

“RADIO PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR: Jeff Rickard, ESPN Radio. He's a sports-talk host who opts for a reasoned and mannered approach to topics. No screaming. No shtick. No declaring to his audience why he's the smartest guy in the room. Every time I heard him in 2006… he never failed to provide well-thought-out opinions.”
