Scott is a graduate of New York University, where he received a BA in English and American Literature.

Scott began his career in the editorial department of Playboy Magazine before joining the Roslyn Targ Literary Agency. At RLR, in addition to seeking out new writers in both commercial and literary fiction, as well as general audience trade nonfiction, Scott handles foreign rights, first serial and audio.
